Why should I choose USB connector?

Many customers s: I prefer the USB version when making changes as there's le opportunity for the connection to drop. After all, there is nothing worst then losing connection when changing a critical component.

Compared with ordinary ELM327 USB Cable, our Forscan Cable can be used as two different tools：

1. It can be equped with ordinary ELM327 to do ordinary ELM327 functions. It can be equped with scanmaster, scantool and other , applicable to all car series (Forscan ELM327 and Forscan pro can be used, ELS27 can not)

2. Supporting FORSCAN, ELMconfig, FOCCCUS, FF2 , specially designed for Ford series, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury cars (ELS27 can only use these )

It is 99% of models after 2000 and around 92% of models after 1996 (the year when OBD2 became a standard in USA).

Note: New 2019+ Mazda 3 and CX-30 are not supported yet.

Why do you need an Extend license？

1. This license is not restricted by us, it is restricted by the forscan provider

2. Used to restrict acce to key functions. For example, PATS key programming function. If the is completely released, all the and the Forscan ELM327 cable can program a new car key in a few seconds. This is too insecure for all users.
