Books Kindred

This graphic novel is an adaptation of Octavia E. Butler's acclaimed novel, Kindred. It tells the story of Dana, a young Black woman from 1976 California who is inexplicably pulled back in time to a 19th-century plantation in Maryland, where she must repeatedly save the life of Rufus, a white slave owner and her ancestor, to ensure her own existence. The adaptation is created by Damian Duffy and John Jennings.
