Carina Conte has held a lifelong crush on Max Gray, her brother Michael's best friend and the new CEO of their family's burgeoning bakery empire. Carina is a recent MBA graduate, but her family still treats her like the "ugly duckling" and a child, while Max barely notices her as a woman.
