I ordered a hand blender from Jumia on Monday 20th September 2021.It was delivered today on 23rd September 2021.I went to pick it from Bata Opp. BOU I ask the lady to check before I pay but refused so I paid, then removed the staples they normally use to seal their Branded kaveera.The Item was sooo old and broken as if used, the packaging box was very old and it was already open it appeared like a used item!I asked the lady to refund my money she said no, we have to refund on mobile money, was like wtf!!! I didn't pay through mobile money!l called customer care, they kept telling me same stories etc..As if that wasn't enough the lady insisted that I must give an MTN number to get a refund, I don't have an MTN number and as the one I have is for company not personal.Lady was like sorry I can't help you! Imagine!! My questions to jumia:1.Do you check quality of products you deliver to clients?? Or it is a planned move to trade with clients money by delivering substandard products.2.I paid you by cash and so why can't you refund cash because I hadn't even moved away with the product why hold my hard earned money?3.Are you aware that when you refund money on mobile money it attracts withdraw charges? So in away you are punishing a client for transacting with you!4. I need my full refund remember I don't have an MTN. How come you never told me that while transacting-remember you called me many time asking me to complete the purchase from my cart.5. Please stop delivering substandard product with an intention of holding clients' fund!I will NEVER deal with jumia again!!! I feel hurt and they need to change business to betting. Guys I never moved an inch with the product, why must they hold my cash yet it is a matter of returning the product to the vendor!This is total fraud!!!
