A silent enemy

The book centers on Dorothy Adams and Ethan Barns, who live in the seemingly idyllic town of Redwood, Alberta. Trouble arises when Dorothy's life and her Bed and Breakfast come under attack by the media and a powerful group known as "the Puritans," who refuse to let her move on from her past. Simultaneously, Ethan, the Chief of Police, is overwhelmed by the murder of an old friend, the presence of a cartel, and his sworn duty to protect two young boys. The narrative explores how these seemingly separate events connect, the motive behind the murder, and whether Dorothy can resolve things her way in Redwood.
