Kente fabric is a traditional, handwoven textile that originated with the Ashanti (Asante) people of Ghana and is also widely produced and worn in other parts of West Africa, particularly among the Ewe people. It is one of Africa’s most iconic and culturally significant textiles, symbolizing history, identity, and status.
