Product details

The protagonist is Nanjala, a young girl from the Bukusu community. Her life is shattered when the fierce Tondo warriors raid her village, resulting in the death of her father and her own capture.

Life Among the Tondo: Nanjala is taken to live among the Tondo people, who rename her Chesebe. The story describes her difficult and strange new life, where she must adapt to the culture of her captors.
