The Boys in Kakamega is an exciting adventure story by Jimmi Makotsi and is a continuation of his earlier work, Misa the Precious Cow. Published as part of the "Junior Readers Series" by East African Educational Publishers (EAEP), the book is aimed at upper primary school learners.
The story follows the character Edward, who finally gets to visit his cousins in the town of Kakamega, Western Kenya, for a holiday. However, the anticipated fun of the trip is quickly replaced by suspense and danger. Edward and his cousins stumble upon the activities of a dangerous gang of organized criminals. The adventure escalates as the resourceful boys must use their wits and courage to figure out how to handle the situation and get the deadly gang arrested.
