Thirteen reasons why

The novel is a young adult story that follows high school student Clay Jensen, who receives a mysterious box of cassette tapes recorded by his classmate and crush, Hannah Baker, two weeks after she committed suicide. The tapes detail the thirteen specific people and events that Hannah blames for her decision to end her life, with instructions for each person mentioned to pass the tapes along to the next individual on the list.
