This is a Manual Hand-Crank Worm Gear Winch, specifically designed for precision lifting and tensioning. Unlike standard ratchet winches that can "free-spool" if the handle is released, this worm gear design provides an inherent safety braking feature—the load will stay in place the moment you stop cranking.
