Safety Tips for Using Mekis Peppermint Essential Oil
Please keep in mind that our essential oils are highly concentrated and precautions need to be taken when using them. Here are some safety considerations to keep in mind when using Mekis Peppermint Essential Oil:
· One of the most important things to remember when using peppermint oil, is that less is more. Start with 1-2 drops (diluted properly in a carrier oil, such as Almond, Jojoba or Olive), and add more later if needed.
· Our Peppermint essential oil is for external use only, meaning you should not ingest it. At times, the essential oil is confused with the peppermint plant leaves, which are edible. Make sure to be clear on the difference.
· As with any essential oil or new skin care ingredient, we always recommend testing on a small patch of skin before applying to a larger area. Because essential oils are highly concentrated, some people may experience a negative or allergic reaction to them. It’s important to dilute essential oils properly in a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
