The PlayStation 3 controller, officially called the DualShock 3 Wireless Controller, is Sony’s gamepad designed for the PlayStation 3 console. It features a familiar PlayStation layout with two analog sticks, a directional pad, four face buttons (△ ○ × □), two shoulder buttons (L1, R1) and two analog triggers (L2, R2).
The controller is wireless via Bluetooth, allowing comfortable, cable-free gameplay, and it also supports USB charging through a mini-USB cable while playing. One of its signature features is vibration feedback (rumble) which adds realistic in-game impact sensations.
It also includes Sixaxis motion-sensing technology, enabling the controller to detect tilt and movement for compatible games. The DualShock 3 is compact, lightweight, and ergonomically shaped for long gaming sessions, with responsive buttons and precise analog sticks.
