This device is a Saddle Piercing Valve (often colloquially referred to as a "line tap" or "bullet valve"). It is designed to create a permanent access point or a shut-off branch on an existing soft tubing line without having to cut the pipe or drain the entire system.

Clamp Mechanism: The device features a two-part heavy-duty plastic or composite housing. The top and bottom plates are held together by two zinc-plated steel bolts. These bolts allow the user to tighten the "saddle" securely around a pipe.

Piercing Needle: Inside the center of the housing is a hardened needle or pin. As the valve is tightened, this needle punctures the wall of the tubing to allow fluid or gas to flow into the valve body.

Outlet Port: At the bottom, there is a barbed fitting secured by a hexagonal nut. This barb is designed to grip flexible plastic or rubber tubing (typically for 1/4" or 3/8" lines) and keep it leak-proof under pressure.
