For those of you who don’t know, sulphates are foaming agents. A good example is sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) which is found is just about every face wash and shampoo under the sun. While there are those who believe the ingredient to be carcinogenic, that’s a load ofcrap and, to date, there isn’t a shred of evidence that SLS causes cancer. Still, it can irritate those with very sensitive, reactive skin so if this is you, switching to a sulphate-free or low sulphate shampoo like TRESemme’s Keratin Smooth is a good idea.
