Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal that belongs to the class of imidazole and triazole derivatives. MECHANISM OF ACTION:Clotrimazole acts by inhibiting the division and growing of fungi. It alters the permeability of the fungal cell wall and inhibits the activity of enzymes within the cell. It specifically inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol and other sterols required for cell membrane production that eventually leads to cell death. INDICATIONS:Ringworm or yeast infections, athlete’s foot and jock itch. CONTRAINDICATIONS:Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this medicine. SIDE EFFECTS:Burning, stinging, swelling, irritation. DIRECTIONS FOR USE:Clean and thoroughly dry the area to be treated. Apply this medication to the affected skin, usually twice a day or as directed by your doctor. Do not apply this cream to damaged skin. This includes skin which has been burnt, scraped, or cut in any way. STORAGE:Store at a temperature below 25℃. Do not freeze.
