The discharge valve (BOV) is a pressure relief device for the suction airway to prevent the entry of the turbo compressor.
The blowdown valve uses the pressure signal in the pipeline and the spring force to detect when the throttle valve is closed. When the throttle valve closes quickly, the BOV nozzle increases the inhaled airway atmosphere to relieve pressure and help eliminate the surge.
