When using it to curl your hair, press the convert button (that one that looks like a thumb) then clip in your hair and begin to curl and perm it on the iron. then pause for a while until it gets evenly heated then release it. there you have it! all curled and strikingly beautiful hair.
When straightening your hair, just keep the iron in a normal position, clip in the hair from its root then slide and pull it straight after pausing for a while.
