The PS4 controller, officially called the DualShock 4, is a wireless gaming controller designed by Sony for the PlayStation 4 console. It features a comfortable, ergonomic design that fits naturally in the hands, making it suitable for long gaming sessions.
The controller includes two analog sticks, a directional pad (D-pad), and the four iconic PlayStation face buttons — Triangle, Circle, Cross, and Square. It also has L1/L2 and R1/R2 shoulder buttons, with L2 and R2 acting as responsive triggers for precise control in games.
In the center, the DualShock 4 has a clickable touchpad that supports swiping and tapping for additional gameplay features. A light bar on the front changes color to indicate player number, health status, or in-game events. The controller also includes a built-in speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Share button for capturing screenshots and videos.
It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth and has a rechargeable battery, which can be charged using a USB cable. The DualShock 4 can also be used with PCs and some mobile devices.
