he Dell Latitude Latitude 6430u isn't the prettiest ultra portable laptop, but it definitely gets the job done. It's a solid performer, and it has a lot of little features that business professionals will definitely appreciate. Spill-proof keyboard. Business-rugged design. The Dell Latitude 6430u is built with what Dell calls Tri- Metal casing (MIL-STD 810G by military standards), a support structure that’s considered business-rugged. In other words, it should give you the protection you need while traveling or from mishaps that can occur at work (such as a coffee spill). It’s made up of anodized aluminum in the display, a hard powder-coated base, reinforced magnesium alloy wrapped around the corners, and reinforced steel hinges. It also has a spill-resistant keyboard, protective LCD seal known as a “360-degree bumper” overlay for added screen protection   

The Latitude 6430u isn't port-heavy, but it has what you need in a business laptop: one USB 2.0 port, one USB 2.0/eSATA combo port, an Express Card reader, a Smart Card reader, an SD Card reader, a combination microphone/headphone jack, a gigabit ethernet port, and a Kensington lock slot. It also has two different display connectors (VGA and Mini HDMI), as well as a docking connector, in case you want to use it on a desktop with an external display.   The notebook is as solid as Dell suggests. The palm rest doesn’t flex at all, even under heavy pressure   The Latitude  's 14-inch LED screen is matte, so you don't have to worry about glare or reflections. Color representation looks good, and the display can be almost blindingly bright--excellent for working outside or in direct sunlight. With a native resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels--which is standard for the category--there really isn't much to complain about here.
